As always, GM's are encouraged to help advertise for open teams. I've got the following "script" that I typically use, please feel free to share it. Also, any critiques or things you think would be helpful to add would be great to see suggestions on. This doesn't paste great, so I have attached the Word Document if you're sharing it.
Official Rulebook - brhlootp.freeforums.net/thread/25/official-rulebook
1. The CASH Element
a. This is a CASH league. Owners pay $50 per season and then OWN that franchise. All monies are paid back to GMs for various accomplishments throughout the season.
b. Payouts are listed in the rulebook
c. New GM’s are required to pay 2 seasons up front (so $100), this ensures we are getting only the most active and committed GM’s.
d. By requiring GMs to stay paid one season into the future, it gives us some quality control that they won’t decimate a franchise for a run and leave. If a team chooses to not pay forward that extra year, they obviously can play the final season they paid for, but moving prospects and young assets will be monitored very closely.
2. The OOTP Game
a. You will be required to purchase separately the new game version every year, as we will use it once released (more to come)
b. We sim 1 day each day. Our schedule is staggered (see calendar) so we line-up with the game when needed at certain periods.
c. In our game, development, scouting, coaches, and international FA are turned off.
d. Players are rated each year when the new game comes out. So a reliever (say Adam Ottovino) who is a 20ov in OOTP18, could be a top reliever in OOTP19 after a great MLB season. So when we rerate guys with new game, he’d be a very valuable chip.
e. You are drafting/trading/signing players based on REAL LIFE potential and ability.
3. The Schedule
a. Because we run off the new OOTP game, our schedule is tailored a bit different. See our PDF calendar for an idea of what happens when

4. Team Info
a. The Houston Astros are currently available
i. ootp.brhl.net/2018/files/brhl/news/html/teams/team_42.html
b. Featured potential AL Cy Young winner Blake Snell, and a very deep rotation and staff for the 2019 season. The Astros have some good bats with the likes of Zander Bogaerts and Gregory Polanco, and some solid young power players all over the diamond.
c. The Astros have a solid team for the future, and should be in contention for the playoffs as early as next season.
