Mike Trout OAK - .282/.399/.570 – 40 HRs 120 RBIs – 164 OPS+ 8.6 WAR (Leads AL)
His first year in Oakland didn’t result in a playoff appearance, he remains shut out here in the BRBL. What he did do was lead his league in WAR for the third time in four seasons, walk 103 times, and carry a team without another 3 WAR player on roster to 87 wins. He was great in CF with a +8.9 ZR and only three errors, only adding to his overall value this season.
Geroge Springer DET - .316/.402/.556 – 32 HRs 108 RBIs – 153 OPS+ 7.4 WAR
A powerful lineup around him, Springer barley the nod over his teammates Jose Abreu and Miguel Sano. A few things stood out for him over those two, most of all he was an asset with the glove as shown by his +6.7 ZR in RF with 1 error. His consistent presence in on the diamond led to 99 wins and a wild card berth for his Tigers.
Christian Yelich CLE - .331/.402/.607 – 39 HRs 125 RBIs – 170 OPS+ 8.2 WAR
The most impressive player on the best team in the AL, he led the Indians to 110 wins. His teammate Marcell Ozuna nearly joined him on this list but Yelich placed top 5 in all the major counting stats and led in most of the advanced metrics including his 6.85 WPA. He wasn’t as good as the other guys on this list in the field but he wasn’t a liability either with a +0.1 ZR as the starting RF.
