Jacob deGrom DET – 22-5 – 3.23 ERA - 234 IP - 264 Ks – 6.5 WAR (Leads AL)
In most seasons, we could just end the list here. He paced the league in wins thanks to a strong offense but also led the majors in IP, CG (5), and K/BB (6.1) and the AL in Ks. He ups his BRBL win total to 69 in four seasons.
Kohei Arihara TB – 16-6 – 3.22 ERA – 181.2 IP – 144 Ks – 4.5 WAR
Edged out a few others for this spot including Aaron Nola and Shane Bieber primarily due to his majors leading 0.5 HR/9. The most consistent starter on the AL East champs in his first major league season. Otherwise, this should’ve been a two-player vote.
Mike Clevinger DET – 16-4 – 2.64 ERA – 201 IP – 216 Ks – 5.8 WAR
Another Tiger here on the list after a great season which saw him lead the AL in ERA, FIP, ERA+, rWAR, and Opp AVG. His WAR is topped only by his teammate deGrom, as they would both be in the top 5 in ten different pitching stats.
