CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE LEAGUE
1. This will be a cash league. Entry Fee is $50 per season. Entry fees are distributed back to GM's for accomplishments
2. You MUST be paid for the season before it starts. You must always have the newest version of OOTP
3. This is unlike any other OOTP league. We sim 1 day per day. Each season is a calendar year.
4. Rating progressions will be turned OFF, as will things like international scouting, player dev, dev budgets, draft scouting and other applications not applicable in this style league.
5. Players get rerated when the new OOTP version comes out. The new (initial) ratings are what your players will be rated. You should be drafting and trading based on what you think a player will do in REAL LIFE as that is how they will be rerated every year. (Understand there may be a delay in getting data transferred to the new file, our OOTP expertise is not fully developed yet).
6. You MUST have the new OOTP game each year when it comes out. We will transition over once it comes out and apply new ratings.
7. Team names will remain, but market sizes, fan interest, budgets and fan loyalty will all be even to start with (level tbd) for all teams. You will have the opportunity to grow your teams appeal from scratch, there is no built in advantage for any team. (When a GM leaves, the new GM will have all factors reset to the original start point, unless otherwise determined by the leadership committee).
8. Teams are required to pay for 2 full seasons when they are first hired, this ensure commitment and covers the league in case they have to replace a GM, and sell a team at a discount.
9. Collusion of ANY sort is strictly forbidden, if it's in the grey area, ask Bryce or Eric D for pre-approval
10. This is not a democracy. While we will source opinions as needed, every decision we make is based on the leagues best interests now, and in the future. Our current cash league has been running, without stoppage for well over a decade, we know what we are doing.
11. If something occurs that isn't explicitly covered in the rules, and needs addressed, the commishes decisions are FINAL.
LEADERSHIP
1. Eric D will be your day to day simmer
2. Bryce S will be your other commish/dictator
We have close to 20 years experience running leagues together in this role. We've seen and done it all. We don't do short term leagues, we don't do democracy, we run things as best for the LEAGUE, not a TEAM.
3. We will also have an executive committee to help us when we need advice/suggestions with OOTP. This committee will not always be consulted unless we deem it necessary.
GM EXPECTATIONS
1. Pay your fees on time
2. Be active, you should be exporting at least weekly
3. Be on the group chat on ICQ
4. If you're sensitive or easily offended then this league will not be for you, our chats get out of control frequently.
5. If you are inactive, not exporting and in the chat, the league WILL remove you, without refund.
