Juan Soto STL - .310/.440/.595 – 39 HRs 97 RBIs – 183 OPS+ 9.4 WAR
Last years MVP has another strong season, leading the league in PA. runs, walks, OPB, SLG, and OPS. While he didn’t match his 11.6 WAR season from a year ago, he did lead his team to another WS appearance in which they won it all this time. He was a net negative in the grass but it didn’’t hurt his teams run. He has compiled a 22.1 WAR in his 423 career games.
Adalberto Mondesi CIN - .312/.351/.546 – 27 HRs 75 RBIs – 137 OPS+ 10.0 WAR (Leads Majors)
While his team fell short of the post season, there was no blame to be placed on Mondesi. He led the majors in WAR after crushing the ball all year, mashing 18 triples, 83 extra base hits, and collecting 362 total bases. He also swiped 54 bases on 63 attempts to go with his stelar defense at SS with a 17.8 ZR, although he did commit 17 errors.
Fernando Tatis Jr AZ - .282/.373/.497 – 28 HRs 99 RBIs – 132 OPS+ 9.0 WAR
He didn’t lead the league in any one stat, but he was consistently great from start to finish. He was the key cog in the D’Backs first division championship, with 20 doubles, 10 triples and 23 SBs to go with his 28 HRs. His 23.3 ZR at the most important position was huge for his pitching staff, but he did have 12 errors on the year.
