Evan White SD - .294/.348/.517 – 22 HRs 72 RBIs – 138 OPS+ 2.6 WAR
Coming over to SD in a trade this season, White stepped into a starting role in his age 25 season. He is most well known for his excellent glove work, but his bat was much better this year. His negative fielding grades were surprising but not nearly as surprising as his 138 OPS+ considering his career 52 OPS+ in real life.
Julian Merryweather CIN – 5-4 – 2.06 ERA – 96 IP – 131 Ks – 2.4 WAR
An older rookie at age 28, he filled the stopper role in a big way for the Reds. He appeared in 72 games, never allowing more than 3 runs in any game. His 208 ERA+ was a big boost to his teams overall performance this year.
